As a software engineer at IPPON, I am responsible for the design and development of various software solutions for our clients. I specialize in the use of data-centric tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Cassandra, and Amazon Web Services. The growing need for big data expertise demands that I develop adaptable environments and robust applications to provide clients with the valuable solutions to handle their data analytic requirements. While at LexisNexis Special Services Inc. I work with two primary technologies. Firstly, I provide administrative support for clients using Amazon Web Services in an effort to make collaboration among multiple entities as fluid and seamless as possible. Secondly, I assist in the development of big data solutions using the LexisNexis platform known as HPCC. This often means going through the ETL process to generate the most useful analytics from a given set of data.
